Strong
17 hours of labor
3 hours of pushing
The fear was overwhelming
But I had to be strong
I watched as you grew inside
I waited not so patiently for you to arrive
Then you got stuck
But I had to be strong
I was crying, screaming
The decision to pull you was made
It was torture
But I had to be strong
I feared
But you came
You were orange
But You were strong
You were tiny
They put you under so many lights
I cried
But You were strong
You came home
You grew slowly
We drove you to the hospital
But You were Strong
They tested you for everything
You cried
They wouldn’t let us rest
But You were strong
Now I sit and watch you play
You grow smarter daily
The one thing people tell me always
He is strong
I know I say
And your father says
Of course he is
Because he is just like his mom
